JUMP START NURSERY – PRE-KINDERGARTEN $250
Children develop spatial awareness, movement, and locomotor skills using appropriately sized rackets. They learn volleying, throwing, catching, and rallying skills, building a foundation not only for tennis, but for any future athletic activities.
Tuesdays; 1:30–2:15pm Saturdays; 12:15–1pm JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM GRADES K–5 $250 Game- and level-specific drills and training for building a strong foundation, designed with a lot of fun in mind, to increase young players' ability, improve their skills, and motivate them to want to play more.

Brazilian-born Tennis Pro and Multisport Coach Joao Casagrande will be on the courts for two fun-filled hours of instructional clinics and games in tennis, soccer, and basketball each week. Saturdays; 4–6pm; $75 DROP-IN
* There will be no tennis programs during February 18–23.

|  | | Vinicius Carmo Tennis Director – Brazil  Vinicius Carmo came to the United States in 1996 after finishing in the top five in Brazil’s Junior National Ranking to join the University of Tennessee on a full tennis scholarship. He studied business administration and finance while playing competitive tennis. Before coming to Ross, he managed and directed several prestigious tennis facilities in the Hamptons. At Ross, he continues to develop exciting programs, tournaments and competitive training techniques for students of all ages. With his experience and connection to college coaches, he has helped several graduates obtain full university scholarships. In his first year at Ross, he led both the boys and girls tennis teams to championship seasons.

 | Joao Casagrande Jump Start Director – Brazil  Born in 1988 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Joao Casagrande started playing tennis at five years old and began competing in tournaments at the national level when he was 10. During his junior career, he practiced in Clube Paineiras do Morumbi in Sao Paulo with Octaviano Santos, ranking in the top 20 nationally in under 16s and 18s. Joao went on to play college tennis at Georgia College and State University, where he reached the national championship quarterfinals in 2009. |

 | Juan Diaz Tennis Pro – Cuba  Juan Diaz was born in Cuba and was the country's top tennis player when he defected during the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, Mexico. From 1972 to 1975 he played for the University of Florida and was ranked #1 for singles and doubles. Juan also played at the U.S. Open in 1976, attained a USTA national rank of #2 in singles and #1 in doubles for 35s and over, was a member of the Italia Cup–winning USA team in 1987, and won the Davis Cup for 35s and over. Juan has coached at Bollettieri and Harry Hopman Academies. |

 | Elad Gabay Tennis Pro – Israel  Elad Gabay played junior tennis in his native Israel, where he was ranked #1 for 14s and under. He then played Division II tennis for University of North Florida and made it to the finals of the NCAA national championship, after which he played Div. I for two more years before earning his BS in athletic training/sports medicine. Elad has also worked as a tennis pro for several clubs on the East Coast and in Florida and served as a volunteer assistant coach for the UNF mens team in 2009.

 | Daniela Muscolino Tennis Pro – Argentina  Daniela Muscolino was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where as a junior she was ranked #1 in the nation in the 12s, 14s, and 16s age groups. At age 16, she began her professional career and achieved WTA world rankings in the mid-500s in singles and 400s in doubles. Daniela went on to receive a full scholarship to play for the University of Tulsa, where she won 81 singles matches and was ranked as high as #23 in the nation. She also received many awards, including WAC Player of the Year, multiple selections to the First Team All-Conference in singles and doubles, and two berths to the NCAA Championships. After completing her professional and college careers, Daniela turned her passion for the game toward teaching and coaching players of all ages and levels, from pee-wees, to tournament-level juniors, to competitive adults. |
