The Hamptons

Community

Ross School enjoys an ideal setting amidst the villages of Sag Harbor, East Hampton, and Bridgehampton, a place where magnificent beaches and breathtaking natural beauty are the norm.

The East End of Long Island offers a relaxed pace, clean air, a friendly community, and a host of country pleasures. It also happens to be near one of the world’s most exciting cities. While Ross students become deeply involved in the local community of the Hamptons, they are also encouraged to take advantage of the vibrant culture of New York City. New York is easily accessible from Ross School by bus, train, or car, and the city’s museums, theaters, restaurants, galleries, cafés, bookstores, and music venues are an important real-world supplement to in-class learning. At Ross School, day students and boarding students alike can truly enjoy the best of both worlds.

With its location adjacent to the ocean and the Peconic Bay, students are afforded the rare privilege of utilizing the coast in sailing, surfing, and angling while delving into the mesmerizing world of marine life thriving in the nearby estuaries.

Students at Ross are graced with the opportunity to enrich their minds by partaking in the cultural tapestry of the Hamptons. They can explore cultural institutions such as The Parrish Museum and The LongHouse Reserve, where art and nature intermingle in captivating harmony. These experiences add another layer of depth to their education, fostering an appreciation for the arts and the natural world surrounding them while imbuing them with a profound sense of this idyllic coastal region's unique and vibrant cultural heritage.
