ROSS SCHOOL TENNIS CENTER
Programs
Yellow Ball+
Overview
Yellow Ball+ is a training program for students who wish to integrate their academic education with their love for tennis, creating a balanced pathway for both athletic and academic success. This comprehensive program combines advanced on-court instruction, physical conditioning, and competitive match play, all within the environment of Ross School.
Entry into Yellow Ball+ requires either an in-person tryout with an RSTC coach or submission of a video evaluation for placement.
While we encourage players to participate in Ross School JV or Varsity teams, as well as USTA and UTR tournaments to enhance their competitive experience, these are not required for enrollment in the program.
Day-to-Day Training Regimen
Yellow Ball+ follows a proven two-hour daily structure to ensure steady improvement:
> Dynamic Warm-Up & Footwork – Agility, mobility, and coordination training.
> Technical Development – Stroke mechanics, serve/return mastery, and specialty shots.
> Tactical Play & Point Construction – Building strategies for singles and doubles.
> Match Play & Competitive Drills – Real match situations and pressure scenarios.
> Fitness & Conditioning – Strength, endurance, and flexibility tailored to tennis.
