Thank you to everyone who gave on the first–ever Ross School Giving Day!
The generosity of staff, parents, students, alumni, and friends of Ross helped make Ross School's first–ever Giving Day an unqualified success. With more than 200 donations raising over $21,500 for the Annual Fund, the response exceeded all expectations.
Fund categories include:
Playground—With the incorporation of our Lower School into the East Hampton campus, we are in need of a new playground. Ross School is working with Stiles Designs to create and build an eco-friendly playground. We are excited for our youngest students to enjoy outdoor time exploring and playing.
Global Scholarship—The current student body at Ross represents 24 different countries and territories. As we work to diversify our boarding program, this fund enables us to recruit students who bring different talents, backgrounds, and experiences to our community from all over the world, enriching the learning experience for everyone.
Faculty Advancement—This fund supports workshops and the faculty professional development we offer every August and throughout the year. At the heart of any strong educational institution is a dedicated and talented group of faculty and staff. Your gift to this fund enables Ross to attract and retain the best faculty possible, thus maintaining the high quality of Ross teaching.
Facilities—Ross School’s facilities are among the most beautiful in the world. Tremendous thought and purpose have gone into designing all aspects of our facilities in order to support the curriculum and learning experience. Planned and deferred maintenance is crucial to the continuing beauty and function of our facilities. Your contribution to this fund helps us maintain our amazing infrastructure.
Unrestricted—This fund allows the Ross School Leadership Team and Board of Trustees to use your gift where it is most needed, supporting the operating budget and helping to bridge the gap between the cost to run the school and the revenue collected through tuition.
Local Scholarship—Ross School seeks to attract students from the local area who otherwise might not be able to afford this opportunity. Ross School administers both need-based financial aid and merit scholarships to enable gifted local students, athletes, and artists to attend the school, reflecting all aspects of the cultural and socioeconomic groups that make up our East End community.
Academic Excellence—Support of this fund enables the school to continue to pursue the highest levels of instruction in the arts, humanities, science, technology, and wellness. Support the domain about which you are most passionate.
