Sharing Love on Valentine’s Day

32090549033_ed6c24ccc4_o Love was in the air as Ross School students took advantage of ways to show their love and respect for each other and their community during Valentine’s Day week.

On the Lower School campus, students enjoyed the opportunity to share homemade treats with friends in the community. Each grade had a valentine’s party where they made and exchanged cards. The third grade prepared homemade dog treats to bring joy to the pets at the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons. Later in the day, the students gathered for an assembly on Love and Compassion, where they sang songs and participated in an interactive slideshow, and members of the fourth grade distributed handcrafted cards inspired by candy conservation hearts.

On the Upper School campus, students participating in the Teen Leadership Project, sponsored by East Hampton’s The Retreat, hosted activities for Respect Week, which raises awareness of teen dating violence during February. This week, the group sponsored a bake sale, a dress-down day, and a lunchtime sale of milk tea to raise funds for initiatives at The Retreat.
