Ski Trip - Saturday, January 24

The Parent Association is sponsoring a Ski Trip to Belleayre Mountain on Saturday, January 24. Cost is $ 60.00 per person which includes transportation, lift ticket and one free group lesson/any level. Helmets are mandatory. Rentals $ 23.00 for skis/boards and $ 13.00 for helmets.
Students in grades 5,6, and 7 require at least one adult chaperone per 4 students.
Sign-ups begin January 7 with a $ 30.00 non-refundable deposit.

LS Students Study Holiday Customs and Sing Carols

The first graders at Ross School presented a Holiday Museum on December 19, featuring “exhibits” on holiday traditions celebrated around the world. A holiday concert followed in the Field House.

Young Carolers Visit Southampton Seniors

The Pre-kindergarten embarked on a field trip to the Southampton Care Center in Southampton on December 16. Pre-K teacher Mindy Reyer organized the event as part of a year-long community service project the grade does at different venues. “We teach the children about giving back to a community,” Mindy said.

An Ecuadorian Christmas

On December 11, the Lower School held a special presentation on the Christmas traditions and culture of the people of Ecuador. The inspiration for the presentation came from Angela Rodriguez, an Ecuadorian and parent of fourth grade student Michael Rodriguez. She worked with Spanish teacher Marisa Potts to create this dynamic event.

Art At Various Stages

The creative faculty at Ross School is at it again. On December 10, the Ross Art Gallery held an opening reception for “Multiple Visions,” a group show comprised of work by seven faculty members.

Fashion Forward At Ross

Ross School collaborated with Intermix East Hampton to present a Holiday Fashion Show, “Ross in the Mix,” in the Court Theater on December 13. Proceeds from the event went to the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons and the Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund.

Here Comes The Sun

Rosemary Connell’s kindergarteners celebrated the winter solstice by putting on a presentation for the Ross Lower School during their assembly on December 11. “The Rebirth of the Sun, A Winter Solstice Tale” was a combined performance of reading and singing, and a few theatrics.
